The latest installment in the \"Pretty Cure\" series, \"Eiga Kimi to Idol Precure\u266a Omatase! Kimi ni Todokeru Kirakki Live!\", opens nationwide today, Friday, September 12. To commemorate this, the video streaming service TELASA is currently streaming 32 titles from the \"Pretty Cure\" movie series.
This film is the theatrical version of the TV series \"Kimi to Idol Precure\u266a\". The Idol Precure members are invited to the \"number one in the universe\" idol festival but are suddenly sent back in time. There, they meet Terra, a red-haired girl who dislikes idols, and they rush to save AiAi Island and the world from crisis.
Movie Natalie conducted interviews with the main cast members\u2014Matsuoka Misato, Takahashi Minami, and Takamori Natsumi. They shared points to look out for in their respective characters and memories from the recording sessions. Furthermore, the three actresses who play the Idol Precure also talked about their own \"oshi-katsu\" (fan activities supporting their favorites)!

Misato Matsuoka: Overall, it's a movie filled with constant sparkle and non-stop excitement, but there are also scenes where you can see the characters' inner conflicts, making me think, \"It's a human drama!\" Various idols gather on AiAi Island, creating a feeling of \"we're all living in the same moment.\" Since I performed with the intention of enjoying that very moment, I hope audiences will engrave every scene into their memories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minami Takahashi: The highlight is the luxurious live performances unique to the movie, which are hard to experience in Hanamichi Town. It makes you feel as if you're actually participating in the festival, so I really hope you enjoy it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Natsumi Takamori: In the very beginning of the trailer, I have a line that says, \"Super Miracle Festival!?\" and I thought, \"What a wonderfully uplifting phrase!\" (laughs). When I received the script and learned the details of the festival, it was truly \"number one in the universe.\" So many miraculous idols are gathered. The voice cast is also spectacular, so please look forward to it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2500\u2500 Are there any particular points to watch for in the characters you each play?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matsuoka: There's a scene where Uta-chan receives someone's feelings, and I was deeply moved, thinking, \"Ah, Uta-chan makes expressions like this too!\" Of course, in the TV series, Uta-chan has been sad and has cried before, but her expression of being strongly moved by someone's feelings felt fresh. It's cute, precious... a face that makes you want to protect her. I even wanted a postcard of that cut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takahashi: Nana's intelligence and idea-generating power are showcased in the movie version. Personally, I felt like I got to know Nana even better, which made me very happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takamori: All three of us wear casual clothes unique to AiAi Island, and I absolutely love Kokoro-chan's outfit! It's perfect for the outdoors, and she wears her hat tilted. While her style is always sporty, this time it's especially cute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2500\u2500 Fashion is one of the things to look forward to. How was the recording session?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takamori: We recorded over two days, so it felt like a short training camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takahashi: We all ate meals together, had snacks... It was all about eating (laughs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takamori: During this recording, there were times when almost the entire cast from three generations\u2014\"Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure\" (2023-2024), \"Wondereful Precure!\" (2024-2025), and ours\u2014were gathered together. It was such a luxurious time. Recording while listening to everyone's voices was truly magnificent. It was like, \"Everyone is Pretty Cure!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takahashi: The temperature in the room really rose at that time, didn't it? I'm from the generation that grew up with the TV series \"Futari wa Pretty Cure\" (2004-2005), and this movie contains an homage reminiscent of \"Futari wa Pretty Cure.\" That scene is also heartwarming! There's a scene where a wink and the Kyun Kyun (Cure Kyun Kyun) are shown together, and I was so happy, thinking, \"This is the camera angle from 'Futari wa Pretty Cure'!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2500\u2500 Since it just came up, the Cures from \"Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure\" and \"Wonderful Precure!\" also appear in this movie. What do these two series mean to you, Matsuka-san?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matsuoka: Both series have such distinct colors, don't they? \"HiroPuri\" has an absolute strength and a \"heroic feel\" that's so cool, and \"WanPuri\" has a healing aura that makes you think, \"I just... love them so much!\" Appearing alongside them this time made me feel like I want to chase after their\u80cc\u5f71, hoping that \"KimiPuri\" can also be viewed like this in the future. I want to work hard to get closer to these two admired series!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2500\u2500 Are there any previous movies in the \"Pretty Cure\" series that left a particular impression on you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takamori: I played Comecome in \"Movie Delicious Party\u2661Precure Yumemiru\u2661Okosama Lunch!\" (2022), and it left an impression on me that I got to perform a special move together with Cure Precious and play a role somewhere between a warrior and a fairy. Also, in \"Movie Pretty Cure All Stars F\" (2023), Comecome spoke with (Cure Sky from \"Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure\"), so somehow, whenever I meet Sky-san, my Comecome emotions come out! (laughs) This time, performing alongside Sky-san as Cure Kyun Kyun gave me a strange feeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matsuoka: I went to the cinema to see \"Wonderful Precure! The Moo~vie! DokiDoki\u2661Daibouken in the Game World!\" (2024), and seeing all the children wearing Pretium outfits cheering \"You can do it!\" towards the screen became a precious experience for me. It felt like the story might not even progress without their cheers; their support reached the Pretty Cures so powerfully. I was moved to tears by that flow of events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takahashi: Having also participated in the TV series \"Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure\" (2021-2022), \"Eiga Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure: Yuki no Princess to Kiseki no Yubiwa!\" (2021) left a particularly strong impression on me. \"Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure\" is a work where the protagonist's \"straightforward power\" is very strong. I was deeply moved watching it, including how children admired them and learned about fun things like cosmetics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takahashi: Speaking from a recording perspective, I think it's unusual that the \"KimiPuri\" set never stops, no matter what happens. We continue acting without breaking the emotional flow, which I feel trains a kind of mental fortitude unique to Pretty Cure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takamori: It's a common occurrence on Pretty Cure sets that we often start without knowing much about where the story is going (laughs). As we progressed through the episodes of \"KimiPuri,\" I came to feel that it's a work with solid idol-like elements like signs and fan service, while also being very comical and easy to enjoy casually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matsuoka: The number of people doing unison lines increases whenever we gain new comrades; that's unique to Pretty Cure, isn't it? When we record, the studio is large, so we think about things like taking breaths so everyone can hear, and finding methods that work easily for everyone. I heard that all the senior actresses from previous series did the same, so I feel, \"This is what Pretty Cure is.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matsuoka: It's a work packed with new elements while retaining the essence of \"KimiPuri.\" It's not just enjoyable for children but also for adults, so I think it would be fun to see with friends. I'd be happy if it becomes one of your cherished memories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takahashi: In the movie, there's a depiction that the sea around AiAi Island is connected to all seas, which I think symbolizes a connection to our reality as well. I believe cheers are delivered to everyone on AiAi Island through the sea, so I hope you will cheer for the Precure in the theaters and support your favorites (\"oshi-katsu\").<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takamori: I'm really looking forward to hearing everyone's impressions. It's a film with so many exciting parts, so I hope you can clear your mind and fully enjoy the live scenes, the battle scenes, and the story. I'd be delighted if you could come to the theater multiple times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matsuoka: Actually, I have a favorite baby... It's a family that does video activities, and I'm always watching the child on YouTube (laughs). I cry and laugh with those videos, sharing the same emotions as the family members, so I realized this is also a form of \"oshi-katsu.\" It feels like I'm receiving a share of their happiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takahashi: I support an idol myself, so I totally understand the feelings of those who watch lives. Understanding the supporter's side so well, there were even scenes in this movie that made my chest feel tight. My \"oshi\" is a mental support for me. I can work hard to be someone my \"oshi\" wouldn't be ashamed of. There are also deep lines related to \"oshi-katsu\" in the film, so I learned from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Takamori: I'm the type who supports various things broadly but shallowly. Recently, I participated in a crowdfunding campaign to support a photographer who travels the world taking pictures. It was my first time doing such an activity, so it was very enjoyable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
