The live event for the currently airing "You and Idol Pretty Cure♪" (hereinafter "KimiPre"), titled "You and Idol Pretty Cure♪ LIVE 2025 You&I=We're IDOL PRECURE" (hereinafter KimiPre Live), was held on Saturday, October 18th at Pacifico Yokohama National Hall.
The performers included: Cure Idol / Sakura Uta role – Ms. Misato Matsuoka; Cure Wink / Aokaze Nana role – Ms. Minami Takahashi; Cure Kyun Kyun / Shigure Kokoro role – Ms. Natsumi Takamori; Cure Zukyoon / Purirun role – Ms. Yoshino Nanjo; Cure Kiss / Meroron role – Ms. Mihana Hanai; and opening theme singers Ms. Ami Ishii, Ms. Akane Kumada, and Ms. Chihaya Yoshitake. Furthermore, this year, the Idol Pretty Cures also took the stage. With KimiPre Dancers adding brilliance, they performed 25 songs each in the "With the Sun! Smiley♡ Show" and "With the Moon! YEAH♡ Show."
The event was exclusively streamed on U-NEXT. The footage included introductory and post-show comment videos by opening theme singers Ishii, Kumada, and Yoshitake, and there was also a watch party on YouTube at a later date. Just like last year, this year's live could be enjoyed in various styles. Additionally, this year, along with ties to the main anime story, the Idol Pretty Cures actually appeared on stage, featuring production elements where they interacted with the voice cast performances, packed with unprecedented attempts and features. There was also a surprise first performance of the new song "Live wa Kinenbi" by the three opening theme singers.
What elevated this live to an even more sparkling stage was the presence of Kimi = the Kira Kki Ran Ran-z (fans). In the "With the Sun! Smiley♡ Show," filled with the voices of many little Pretty Cures, it was a heartwarming time where the smiling faces of children engrossed in the world of "KimiPre" intersected with the warm gazes of adults watching over them. On the other hand, the "With the Moon! YEAH♡ Show" became a space overflowing with unique live energy, different from the daytime show, with the heat and call-and-response created by Kira Kki Ran Ran-z of all ages overlapping. And after each show concluded, it was announced that a "You and Idol Pretty Cure♪ Thanksgiving Festival" would be held, met with huge cheers. This report focuses on the evening show.
The Future Beyond Episode 36 of 'You and Idol Pretty Cure♪' is the Start of the Show!
In episode 36, "The Decision! The Live with You!," aired on Sunday, October 12th, Purirun, hearing the Idol Pretty Cure Research Club members say they "want to see the stage live," proposes to everyone, "Let's do a live!" The process leading to the live was depicted, with Pacifico Yokohama appearing within the anime. Furthermore, opening theme singers Ishii, Kumada, and Yoshitake appeared as themselves, leading to the developments for the KimiPre Live held the following week. This first attempt in "Pretty Cure" series history, where the main story and reality became seamlessly connected, became a topic of conversation.
On the day of the live, both shows started with footage from the latter half of episode 36. When the scene where Ishii, Kumada, and Yoshitake appeared in the animation came on, applause and cheers erupted from the audience. And following Cure Idol's call of "Ah! I've got it! Our live title! Here we go~!" and the title call, 'You and Idol Pretty Cure♪ LIVE 2025 You&I=We're IDOL PRECURE' commenced amidst great cheers.

After the opening video, Ishii, Kumada, and Yoshitake wearing matching katyusha hairbands took the stage in 'KimiPre' singer outfits. With the 'KimiPre' opening theme "You and Idol Pretty Cure♪ Light Up!," they ignited huge call-and-responses and handclaps worthy of being called a highlight from the very start, building up a fully sparkling stage.

In the last chorus, the voice cast and Idol Pretty Cure gathered, transitioning into the self-introduction song "We are! You & IDOL PRECURE♪." In this song where each character's catchphrase is incorporated into the lyrics, exchanges conveying their individuality continued, making the entire stage lively. For Cure Kiss's part 〈Onee-sama♡ (Kiss!) Onee-sama♡ (Kiss!)〉, following the recorded version, the scene where the audience also held back their calls for the first "Kiss!" along with the voice cast (except Zukyoon) was impressive. (During a later MC time, Nanjo, learning that the audience had held back their voices for her, was moved, saying, "I was shot through by the feeling of you all protecting the worldview.")
One couldn't help but be captivated by the voice cast's gorgeous costumes as well. While previously the costumes mainly incorporated the image of the Pretty Cure each performer played, this time the designs made one feel "the Pretty Cure themselves." The 'KimiPre'-specified stage, adorned with musical notes and ribbons, had staircases on the left and right, and camera work utilizing these height differences was also a highlight. In the streamed footage shown on the monitor, there were many shots capturing both the Pretty Cure and the cast in the same field of view, making one feel anew that "the Pretty Cure and the voice actor are two halves of one whole." Also, thanks to switching to "full view" shots in the stream, being able to fully savor the entire venue was a delightful point.

Solo Songs from the Vocal Album
The first half of the live featured a continuous performance of character songs from the "You and Idol Pretty Cure♪" Vocal Album ~We are! You & IDOL PRECURE♪~. KimiPre Dancers appeared on stage, adding brilliance with costumes and dances matching each character's image.
Matsuoka, who sang "Everyday♪ UTA-OH!!," left an impression with her gesture of pointing towards the audience during the chorus phrase 〈With You〉, delivering a performance that seemed to convey Uta's innocent cheerfulness directly. Next, Takahashi seamlessly appeared from the lower left of the stage stairs and performed "Wink! Link!." During the 〈Wink! Link!〉 part, she delivered the song while blending in elegant and supple movements unique to Nana, such as touching the corner of her eye or gently pointing her pinky towards the audience. Takamori appeared with dancers, waving her hands to the rhythm for "GR∞VE L∞P." The EDM-heavy track combined with the energy of the growing Kokoro, and her pose powerfully raising her arm during the phrase 〈Because there is a dream〉 was impressive. It was a stage fitting the full-of-energy Kokoro.
Then, for "Nakayoshi J♡YFUL," popular even among the voice cast and opening theme singers, Nanjo and Hanai appeared holding special microphones with spoons (a gift from Uta) attached to them. While dancers performed holding Purirun and Meroron, Nanjo showed adorable movements like turning her back and shaking her hips, expressing a carefree manner. On the other hand, during the poetic part unique to Meroron, there was also a heartwarming exchange where Hanai sent a glance towards Nanjo. The unique "cuteness" of Purirun and Meroron caused major traffic jams of emotion!

After singing six songs, the voice cast and opening theme singers gathered on stage again. The three opening theme singers had changed into live-spec outfits prepared for this day, drawing cheers of "So cute~!" not only from the audience but also from the voice cast.
In line with the penlight colors set for each performer every year, this year's costumes were also designed in hues reminiscent of their respective "assigned colors." Ishii wore a dreamy outfit with layers of emerald green tulle. Kumada wore an asymmetrical dress based on a calm rose color, with a ribbon adorning the back of her neck also serving as an accent. Meanwhile, Yoshitake's yellow dress adorned with lots of lace was impressive, perfectly matching her theme color of milk tea.
Here, besides the costume topic, there were also greetings from each. When Matsuoka concluded with a smile, "We'll deliver a Kira Kki Ran Ran live until the very end, so please enjoy!" a big cheer rose from the audience. Then, passing the baton to Yoshitake with, "Now then, Chihaya-chan, please take us to the next song!" they moved into the 'KimiPre' image song "Shiny Shiny IDOL." Delivering a stage full of excitement straight to the heart, the atmosphere in the venue became even more sparkling.
You, You Will Bloom Your Own Flower
The middle section featured a selection centered on the Idol Pretty Cures' stage songs. The stage songs were structured so that only the Idol Pretty Cure were on stage for the first verse, with the voice cast joining from the second verse. The voice cast and Pretty Cure delivered the songs while responding to each other. Following Cure Idol's "Smile no Unison♪," Cure Wink's "Mabataki no Gosenfu," and Cure Kyun Kyun's "Kokoro Revolution," came the image song "Iza! Idol" and the first cour ending theme "Trio Dreams" by the three opening theme singers. For "Iza! Idol," familiar "Pretty Cure" choreographer Nanae Mongella newly handled the choreography, allowing a different charm to blossom. During "Trio Dreams," the three Cures (Idol, Wink, KyunKyun) stood at the front of the stage, while the three voice actors stood at the back holding Kira Kki Lights, creating a staging that shone three-dimensionally under the light of a mirror ball.

Following that was Cure Zukyoon & Cure Kiss's stage song "Awakening Harmony." After resonating with a beautiful harmony while gazing at each other, the five cast members lined up in a row on the stairs at the back of the stage and sang the choral song "GARDEN." When the second verse began, four KimiPre Dancers appeared at the front. Movements like fluttering butterflies gently colored the entire stage. The gentle message 〈Wherever you are, whoever you're with / Dreams aren't just dreams anymore / Wherever you are, whoever you're with / You, you will bloom your own flower〉 enveloped the entire venue.
During the MC after the song, the cast members revealed memories from recording and feelings they experienced actually singing on stage one after another. A particular topic of conversation was the self-introduction song "We are! You & IDOL PRECURE♪." Matsuoka smiled, saying, "Today, I think I hit a higher note for 〈Kira Kki~?〉 than in the recording!" Takahashi and Takamori also touched upon expressions they proposed themselves during recording, mentioning that the music team gladly accepted them. Hearing these words, Nanjo happily said, "There are parts made with the live in mind, so I feel like it finally reached its complete form today." When she passed the topic to Hanai with "How about you, Mi-chan?," Hanai looked back, saying, "From the self-introduction song ('We are! You & IDOL PRECURE♪'), I felt once again how much I love Onee-sama! And I thought, 'As expected, the self-introduction part is also devoted to Onee-sama.'"
Nanjo also referred to "Smile no Unison♪" sung earlier by Matsuoka. "It's a song sung by Uta, whom Purirun loves dearly, and today I could hear the calls of so many Kimi. Listening from the back, I thought 'It's so Kira Kki Ran Ran-puri~!'... I almost cried, but I held back because 'Awakening Harmony' was next." When Matsuoka asked, "Were Purirun and Zukyoon conflicting?," Nanjo immediately replied, "It was Purirun and Nanjo conflicting," causing laughter from the audience.

The talk heated up just like the stage's energy, moving to the topic of episode 21, "Extra Special! The Miracle Unison!," as an impressive episode from the main anime. Regarding the scene where Purirun, who had lost her memory, sang "Smile no Unison♪" for them, Matsuoka said, "I felt she had listened to it so much she could sing it unconsciously, and I was truly happy," and Nanjo continued, "I felt it had reached deep into her heart and my chest felt warm." Following that, when they looked at Hanai, she modestly said, "...Mera Mera Mero." Takahashi promptly supported with "We go to the library together, right!," and when Hanai showed a smile saying "Mero!," voices leaked out unintentionally from both the audience and cast due to her cuteness. "But Onee-sama, it's still 'Ping Pong,' right?" referring to episode 32, "Pre! Mero! Dream School Life."
And from the topic of 'Eiga You and Idol Pretty Cure♪ Omatase! Kimi ni Todokeru Kira Kki Live!,' they moved to the song "♪HiBiKi Au Uta♪ ~Solo Arrange Ver.~" that Uta sang on the beach in the movie. Cure Idol appeared slowly from the back of the stage. Bathed in mirror ball light reminiscent of moonlight, her gesture of speaking to the "you" beside her while singing 〈Smiling, smiling, so much it's funny / When I'm with you, I become happy too〉 carried an emotional weight reminiscent of that famous beach scene, tugging at the heartstrings.
Movie Songs One After Another! The Much-Talked-About Theme Song Cover Too
What completely changed the atmosphere was the anthem song that has taken root throughout the live, "Wonder Flowers Pretty Cure." Responding to the rhythmic beat, handclaps spread simultaneously, creating a sense of unity. The monitor and stream footage showed not only colorful flowers but also Komugi & Yuki from "Wonderful Pretty Cure!," the series when this song was born.
And here, Ishii, along with Takahashi and Takamori, performed "Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure ~Hero Girls~," which is also an insert song in the 'KimiPre' movie. Sandwiched between the rock number "All for one Forever" (insert song from 'Eiga Pretty Cure All Stars F') and "Wonderful Pretty Cure! evolution!!" (also a movie insert song) sung by Yoshitake, Nanjo, and Hanai, the stage connected across series, drawing loud cheers from the audience.

Yoshitake remained on stage, joined by Ishii, Kumada, and dancers, transitioning into the solemn "CLAP & CHANT! ~Ai no Uta~." During the rap part by Ishii and Kumada, combined with dynamic camera work capturing their exchange up close, the heat level on the floor jumped up notably. Sewing through that, Yoshitake joined in and when she called out loudly, "You too, together with us!," sing-alongs and claps resonated from the audience. Seeing that scene, she smiled and said, "Kira Kki Ran Ran-z, you're the best!"
After a blackout, began "♪HiBiKi Au Uta♪" by the Idol Pretty Cures. First, the Pretty Cures holding Kira Kki Ribbon Batons appeared, coloring the stage with gestures like drawing stars. From the second verse, the cast joined them on stage, wrapping the venue in a dramatic atmosphere.
Concluding this block was the 'KimiPre' image song "Live wa Kinenbi," which had just been debuted in the "With the Sun! Smiley♡ Show." "Live wa Kinenbi" is a song packed with diverse elements, its expression changing 'round and 'round with each block. In the "With the Moon! YEAH♡ Show," the sense of unity on the floor had already increased even more, conveying the song's charm more vividly.

In the MC by the three opening theme singers immediately after, they shared episodes about "Live wa Kinenbi." Yoshitake described her impression of the song as "like riding a colorful rollercoaster," and stated that as it's a track included in the vocal best album to be released in January, they wanted to maximize the idol-ness of Idol Pretty Cure as a "culmination." Ishii looked back, saying, "I was assigned the powerful melodic part after Chi-chan's (Yoshitake) mature-feeling rap. I really wanted to properly bring out the atmosphere of powerfully moving forward there. For the exchange with Kuma-chan (Kumada) that follows, I imagined how Kuma-chan would sing and recorded many takes." Kumada, who said she recorded last, commented that for the 〈Kuru Kuru Colorful Full Full〉 part, aiming for a singing style exactly in the middle of Ishii and Yoshitake's "cuteness" and transparency was fun. Also, choreography modeled after backstage preparation scenes before the live was incorporated, and she said with a smile, "I hope you'll pay attention to the choreography too."

The Stage Reaches Its Climax, The Final Two Songs
The main part was now in the final sprint. When the three sent the message, "From here, the last two songs! Kimi too, please enjoy them Kira Kki Ran Ran-ly until the end!," while voices of reluctance like "Eeh!" spread from the audience, what was delivered was the Idol Pretty Cures' stage song "Kimi to Singa Ribbon." The Pretty Cures held Kira Kki Ribbon Batons sparklingly. A large ribbon displayed on the monitor enhanced the song's worldview.

At the end of the song, they conveyed their thanks with "Thank you, all Kira Kki Ran Ran-z!," and said, "For the last one, we want everyone to sing together!" as the three opening theme singers also joined. As each performer held a Kira Kki Light, Ishii called out, "Kimi, will you also send your feelings together with your Kira Kki Lights and penlights!?," and the colorful lights in the audience shone even more strongly.
Then, with a signal from Matsuoka, they moved into the second cour ending theme "Kimi to Rurara." Although the Idol Pretty Cures, voice cast, and opening theme singers were lined up in a row, there was also a scene where, matching the Idol Pretty Cures' "Come here, come here!" gestures, they gathered towards the center of the stage as if drawing a circle. Movements that seemed to recreate the ending video were also impressive. Furthermore, the Idol Pretty Cures and KimiPre Dancers stepped out towards the audience, exciting the entire venue in another scene. They conveyed with all their might through song that each and every Kimi is the protagonist, sending the cheer 〈Starting today, from here, the future!〉. With special effect silver tape flying, they reached a moving climax.

A Request to Kira Kki Ran Ran-z: "Reverse Call & Response!?"
While the encore in the "With the Sun! Smiley♡ Show" was mainly applause, in the "With the Moon! YEAH♡ Show" it was a huge call of "Pretty Cure!" That voice spread throughout the audience, with children also calling out energetically. Responding to that voice, all performers returned to the stage. "The Pretty Cure call makes me happy! Thank you!" said Matsuoka with a smile. From here, it was time for each to convey their feelings of gratitude.

The first to hold the mic was Yoshitake. Touching on memories from appearing in episode 36, she said with a beaming smile, "I realized that being able to do this live is thanks to each and every Kimi who supports us, each and every person who supports us, and the friends who stand on stage with us. I truly love the stage! And thanks to Kimi, I was able to stand here today too. Thank you for always supporting us. I look forward to seeing you again!"

Kumada, participating in a Pretty Cure live for the first time, said, "I was super nervous, but it was so much fun to the point where I thought, 'Nervousness and excitement can be this much together!' Even during live preparations, I was nervous, but when I thought, 'Let's push a little harder,' each of your faces came to mind. Today, those became even more vivid, and I thought I could do my best even more. I received power from you, thank you very much!" giving a deep bow.

Meanwhile, Ishii said her goal had been "to reach each and every Kimi," and said with a lively voice, "To all the many Kimi who brought about this day today, I want to say thank you so very much! From now on, I want to keep sending my feelings of love to Kimi through song! Let's meet again!"
Next, to the voice cast. Hanai smiled and said earnestly, "I'm truly happy that we were able to welcome today without anyone missing and in good health." "Really, you never know what life holds. I want to tell the little Mihana-chan who was watching 'Futari wa Pretty Cure' that she's standing on this stage (laughs). It has become a treasured page in the book of my life. I'd be happy if it became a treasure for all of you too," she said. Then, Nanjo said, "Hearing Mi-chan's message just now, I might cry."

While saying she had many things she wanted to convey, "It was a day where I truly felt how precious support is. I love everyone here on stage, and I came to love you all even more. I felt once again how truly wonderful it is to be doing KimiPre with this cast. Having Mi-chan by my side is reassuring, and having everyone together is reassuring too. And then... Uta's singing is just amazing, after all. 'KimiPre' is okay because Uta is there. I think she's a cool leader who solidly supports her companions. Because Misato-chan is always there as Uta, we can each freely play our characters," she expressed her feelings for her comrades.

"Did everyone's hearts go kyun kyun today?" Takamori called out energetically. Appearing deeply moved, she continued, "Time really flew by in an instant, to the point where I wonder... was today really the live? For some reason, I can't quite feel the reality of this moment right now... I think I would have felt anxious if I were alone. But being able to stand here with my friends and with Cure KyunKyun made me think, 'It's okay...'" Then, as if about to be overcome with tears if she spoke further, she concluded emphatically, "We did our best! Thank you very much!"
Takahashi looked straight at each and every fan once more. "Today was a day where I felt that everything I've done until now was to see this view," she stated. "Personally, I think the path to get here was long, but even so, meeting my destined Pretty Cure, Cure Wink, has been my greatest happiness. Through this live, I felt once again how happy and joyful I am to have met you all," conveying her words of gratitude.

Finally, it was Matsuoka's turn.
"I've also been watching 'Pretty Cure' since I was little, and I never thought I would get to play a Pretty Cure, but seeing your faces today once again, I thought, 'I can become a Pretty Cure.' Thanks to the many Kimi who support us behind the scenes, I am standing here as a Pretty Cure. And thanks to the Kimi who listened to our songs here, I am able to stand here as a Pretty Cure. I truly feel that I've been made into a Pretty Cure by so many of you!"
After conveying that strongly, she called out, "I want to tell you all this gratitude! Can we do a reverse call & response? On the cue of 'Se-no!,' if you say 'Thank you,' I'll return an extra-large 'Thank you!'" Then, receiving the fans' voices of "Thank you!," Matsuoka ran across the stage from right to left, waving her hands with all her might saying "Thank you~!," and with a smile just like Uta's, said, "Thank you so very much!"

Here, they called the Idol Pretty Cures and KimiPre Dancers (Yuka, Mio, Yume, Yuki) onto the stage and introduced them once more. Then, this time, everyone together delivered the opening theme "You and Idol Pretty Cure♪ Light Up!". The three opening theme singers stood at the center, while behind them the voice cast held hands with the Idol Pretty Cures or waved to the audience, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a launch party, which was also impressive. Furthermore, there was a scene where the Idol Pretty Cures and KimiPre Dancers walked out towards the audience, exciting the entire venue. Through song, they conveyed with all their might that each and every Kimi is the main character, sending the cheer 〈Starting today, from here, the future!〉. With special effect silver tape flying, they reached an emotional climax.
I believe it became a special "anniversary day" for both the performers and Kimi. During the live, I think there were moments for each Kimi where tears came unintentionally or your heart was deeply moved, but the brilliance that spread through the venue that day felt like a Kira Kki Ran Ran shine that wasn't overly sentimental. That warmth seemed to seep through with the personalities of the performers, particularly Matsuoka's. Even after leaving the stage with "Let's meet again!," a refreshing aftertaste remained.
After the show ended, there was an announcement about the KimiPre Thanksgiving Festival. Warm applause welled up from the audience. The "You and Idol Pretty Cure♪ Thanksgiving Festival" is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, February 14th and 15th, 2026, at Kanadevia Hall. Also, the "You and Idol Pretty Cure♪" Vocal Best album, which includes "Live wa Kinenbi" debuted this day and the Idol Pretty Cures' stage songs, is scheduled for release on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026, and the Blu-ray of this KimiPre Live is scheduled for release on Friday, February 13th, 2026. With plenty of fan service scattered throughout, like Nanjo's "Zukyoon," I hope you'll check out the numerous subtle expressions and gestures in the footage.
Also, regarding the hairstyle on the day, which Takamori talked about in the Animate Times relay interview, Takamori has written about it (https://sizu.me/takamori/posts/dzh8rk9vskk0). Please check that out too!
