The Asahi Shimbun is one of Japan's national newspapers, published by the Asahi Shimbun, with a circulation second only to the Yomiuri Shimbun. On April 28, the Asahi Shimbun published an interview with the voice actress Takamori Nazumi, who plays Zi Yuxin/Heartbeat Angel in "You and Idol Pretty Cure".
Takamori Nazumi's Brilliant with Yourotten
The currently popular anime "You and Idol Pretty Cure♪" (ABC TV・TV Asahi series, Sunday morning 8:30) has launched a monthly column "Shine with You", inviting the main voice actors to talk about their hearts. At the end of April, the voice actor who plays the third idol Pretty Cure "Heartbeat Angel", junior high school first-year student Zi Yuxin, will appear.
From the deep meaning of the character's catchphrase "My heart is throbbing!" to Takamori's own admiration for a certain unique uncle... Let's listen to her story.
From the audition, I felt that if I was going to act, I had to be absolutely careful.
Sakura Uta, who transforms into an idol angel, is a genius who can sing her favorite songs naturally. Nana Aokaze, who transforms into a seductive angel, can play the piano and has both the delicacy and courage to take a step back.
Compared to the two, Xiaoxin, who is one year younger, is a diligent type who has been working hard at dancing since childhood. The feeling of "I can do it!" "I want to do it!" is also in line with my personality, so I think it should be easier to play.
Xiao Xin was originally a fan of the idols Angel and Angel of Charm, and she set up a study group for them at school. For her, these two were the first time she "pushed" them in her life, and it can be said that the desire to "pull" them began to grow.
Maybe I just liked dancing until now. I felt like it was a hobby that suited me, but this was the first time I felt "like falling in love at first sight".
I once had this kind of enthusiasm and only pushed one person.
That is Mr. Itao Soroku.
He is a unique uncle with a quirky charm that is very familiar to Takamori fans. But how should I say whether he has a shining feeling? Does he fit the "heart is throbbing!"?
The inspiration for this was a skit I saw on TV when I was a kid. Captain Itao appeared from the water with a splash, accompanied by the theme song of Godzilla. His expression didn't change at all, but it was somehow very interesting. This was the first time I saw this surreal and mysterious adult man, and he stole my heart.
I have a desire to know "what is this person?" and I also have a feeling like first love. "Why do I like him so much..." I think I have a similar feeling to Xiaoxin.
I buy his book "Itao Diary" every year and have also attended fan appreciation festivals. Once, during a radio program hosted by me, Mr. Itao congratulated me on my birthday in a promotional message. When I heard that, I cried silently... I really like him.
Is this what Xiao Xin meant by "my heart is beating like a ton of bricks!"? How should I put it? Rather than saying that Mr. Itao's push is shining, it's more like a "swamp".
However, the phrase "my heart is beating" can not only express "moe", but also express all kinds of passionate feelings such as "I am burning now" and "I am motivated". After receiving the script, I realized that the meaning of this phrase is much broader than I thought.
So, I put some effort into saying this line.
When I played the fairy Mimi in "Delicious Party♡Pretty Cure" (2022-23), most of my lines were "Mi~". So I wrote "Great!" or "Why?" and other "Japanese translations" on the script. Otherwise, it would just be a random "Mi~".
A similar approach was used this time, and the script was written to describe what kind of mood the "heart throbbing" in this scene corresponds to.
What impressed me most was the handshake scene in episode 10 (aired on April 13).
Miyu-chan, a fan girl of Angel of Heart, said, "My heart is beating like a flutter!", and Heart of Heart also responded, "My heart is beating like a flutter." I wrote "Me too. Thank you!" on the script.
I was surprised that this phrase can also be used in conversations, and for the first time I understood the broad meaning of this phrase. I think that whenever my heart is beating, I can express it with "my heart is beating so hard", so even if I'm improvising, I won't use other words.
In terms of the breadth of this meaning, Mr. Itao to me can perhaps also be classified as "my heart is throbbing."
Due to the pandemic, not all members recorded together for "Delicious Party". This is the first time that all members are present for "Pretty Cure". I feel how precious this is.
The first time I heard Matsuoka Misato speak as an idol angel, I was really moved. I felt an overwhelming radiance, "This is an idol."
I thought it would be a scene where the veteran voice actors supported the young newcomer Komi-sato, but it wasn't like that. She led us with her powerful acting, and we just had to believe and follow. This sense of reliability was great.
The charming angel is a rational person. The actress Takahashi Minami is also the type who thinks deeply, so it is a good fit.
Even though we think Takahashi's acting is great, she herself is sometimes dissatisfied. This is something that she wants to show but is difficult to show, which is also in line with Nana-chan's delicacy.
For all Pretty Cure, I think the voice actors who become Pretty Cure are "destined to become one". The same is true for everyone in "Delicious Party" that Mimi saw. Although it may be a bit presumptuous to say this, we are also destined to become one this time, and I am working hard with this thought in mind.
