Chieri is a sixth-grade girl. She lost her father when she was little and lives with her mother. Chieri's only friend is Cherry, a stuffed toy she found in the storehouse at her father's funeral. In Chieri's imagination, Cherry takes her father's place, talking, playing, giving advice, and watching over her. One day, for the first time in a while, Chieri visits her grandmother's house for her father's memorial service. There, a stray dog is about to give birth. However, crows and mysterious monsters have their eyes on the puppies about to be born. Can Chieri and Cherry protect the puppies' lives...?
