Introduction
Saito is a supporting character in the 2013 TV anime version of Rozen Maiden, voiced by Ms. Natsumi Takamori.
The premise of this work is a parallel world where "the winding was not chosen": university student Jun Sakurada works part-time at a bookstore and receives an email asking for help from his middle-school self. Saito is Jun's part-time coworker and a girl who aspires to be an actress.
Appearance and Personality
☕ Cheerful and sociable
She is cheerful and sociable, forming a clear contrast with the gloomy, introverted Jun.
🗯️ A bit sharp-tongued
She is especially sharp-tongued toward her coworker Yamaguchi, and in the next-episode previews there are even depictions of her getting physical; but she clearly has feelings for Jun, and when asked about her type of man she points directly at Jun.
🎭 Aspiring actress
She appreciates Jun's talent for costume design and invites him to join the theater troupe she belongs to.
📺 Next-episode preview narration
In the 2013 version, she also served as the narrator for the next-episode previews, set up in a "store announcement" style manzai routine.

Character Reviews
Saito is a daily-life route character newly added in the 2013 version, with her scenes centered on college-student Jun's part-time job and theater troupe life. Her existence gives the parallel-world Jun a realistic subplot unrelated to Rozen Maiden, and also gives this version a bit more of a slice-of-life feel.
"In a world where not even a single doll has ever awakened, Saito is the person most like 'ordinary everyday life' — and that ordinariness is precisely the most luxurious thing in this version."
