Introduction
Hiotan is the heroine of Denkigai no Honya-san, voiced by Ms. Natsumi Takamori. She is a clerk at "BOOKS Umanohone," a manga specialty store on the fictional Denkigai street.
She originally thought she was just working part-time at an ordinary bookstore, but only after joining did she discover it was a manga specialty store; because she wasn't familiar with manga, her coworkers gave her the nickname "Non-Otaku," which over time became "Hiotan."

She has an innocent, airheaded, and somewhat clumsy personality. After working for a while, she'll inadvertently say embarrassing lines, and when called out on it, she becomes extremely embarrassed.

Contrary to her glamorous appearance, she lives in an old apartment, dresses quite unfashionably at home, and her room is extremely messy.

Plot and Positioning
The story is set in a manga specialty store called "BOOKS Umanohone" on a fictional electronics street, and depicts the daily lives of its employees. Besides being a store clerk, Kohi also mentors the new protagonist Umino; after the Manager is transferred, she takes over as the person in charge of the store.
In the manga, the two go through a confession, seeing each other off, meeting the parents, and other developments, and in the end the Manager confesses with a kabedon.
