At the offline event "Girls und Panzer: More Lovey-Dovey Carnival!", it was officially announced that the long-awaited "Girls und Panzer: The Final Chapter" Part 5 will be released nationwide in Japan on October 9, 2026 (Friday). In addition to the standard screenings, this installment will introduce Dolby Cinema® format for the first time, along with Dolby Atmos®, 4DX, MX4D, and other formats, offering a total of five screening versions, allowing audiences to experience the thrilling realism of the tankery finals through entirely different sensory experiences.
First Key Visual Released
The official team has released the first key visual for Part 5 today. In the image, the captains of each team from Oarai Girls Academy, having lost the Anglerfish Team, stand solemnly in place, while members of Keizoku High School are depicted nearby. The overall atmosphere is tense and oppressive, heightening anticipation for the undercurrents of conflict on the eve of the finals.

The Story Reaches Its Climax: Oarai Girls Academy vs. St. Gloriana Girls College
After fierce battles in the semifinals, Oarai Girls Academy has finally advanced to the finals of the Winter Continuous Track Cup. Their final opponent is St. Gloriana Girls College, led by the elegant Darjeeling. Notably, in order to face Miho Nishizumi once again, Alice Shimada, originally from Kuromorimine Girls Academy, has transferred to St. Gloriana and will appear as an opposing member.
"This team's battle, truly, this is the last one!" — With both schools holding their own unyielding convictions, the flames of the final battle are about to ignite.
Stellar Production Team and Accomplished Voice Cast
The film is once again directed by Tsutomu Mizushima, with the screenplay by Reiko Yoshida, original character designs by Fumikane Shimada, and character design and chief animation direction by Isao Sugimoto. Research and supervision are handled by Takaaki Suzuki, with military research by Takeshi Ito, reuniting the original core team. Animation production is handled by Actas, ensuring uncompromising quality.
Regarding the voice cast, Mai Fuchigami (Miho Nishizumi), Ai Kayano (Saori Takebe), Mami Ozaki (Hana Isuzu), Ikumi Nakagami (Yukari Akiyama), and Yuka Iguchi (Mako Reizei) from Oarai Girls Academy will all return. For St. Gloriana, the cast includes Emiri Kato (Darjeeling), Mai Ishihara (Orange Pekoe), Satomi Akesaka (Assam), Natsumi Takamori (Rosehip), and Ayana Taketatsu (Alice Shimada), forming a stellar lineup to bring the passion and emotion of the finals to life.
Second Wave Original Art Clear File Attached Advance Ticket Cards, On Sale from July 3
In preparation for the release, the official team has also announced the launch of "Mubichike Advance Ticket Cards" with the second wave of original art clear files as bonuses. These products come in three designs, each priced at 1,700 yen (tax included), with the bonus being a clear file featuring original art (three patterns available for free selection).
