The initiator ChuChan has seen many opinions that it is difficult to "read aloud" during live broadcasts due to copyright issues. He decided to create an application that combines picture books and images that can be used directly in live broadcasts and videos, and launched a crowdfunding campaign.
This picture book is in the form of an adventure with mascot characters. Unlike ordinary picture books, it will be released for free on Steam as an application, which users can use in live broadcasts and videos through screenshots.
The application also has an "illustration book" page to introduce relevant personnel, and provides a variety of crowdfunding reward plans, including names appearing in picture books, appearances in illustrations, character appearances, etc. There are also different physical rewards such as physical picture books, acrylic key chains or stands, etc.
In addition, stretch goals have also been set. For example, seven mini-games will be added after achieving the 100% goal. If 200% is reached, voice actor Tomoki Ono will read the picture book and will also read the mini-game "Counting Sheep".
If the goal of 300% is reached, voice actors Yusuke Shirai and Natsumi Takamori will also read from the picture book. Furthermore, they will also voice the card drawing portion of the mini-game.
The crowdfunding funds will be used for application development, sound design, scriptwriting commissions, illustration production, UI production, merchandise production, video production, physical book production, Steam publishing costs, and crowdfunding handling fees.
The project plans to close the crowdfunding on March 31, start developing the app and sending thank-you letters in April, contact backers who chose the "Mascot Character Production Plan" in early June, start producing and shipping products in mid-month, and release the app on Steam from July to mid-August.
If the crowdfunding fund does not reach the target amount, an "All or Nothing" approach will be adopted to refund supporters and suspend the delivery of rewards.
