November 1, 2025, Tokyo Bellesalle Shiodome. For all "Summer Pockets" fans, this day was the grandest "reunion" after all 26 episodes of the anime finished airing.
The TV anime "Summer Pockets" AfterParty, across its day and night performances, gathered the largest voice cast in the work's history—Shoya Chiba, Konomi Kohara, Natsumi Takamori, Nene Hieda, Emiri Iwai, Aimi Tanaka, Minoru Shiraishi, Kentaro Kumagai, Yohei Hamada, with Kana Hanazawa joining the night performance, plus theme song singer Konomi Suzuki, for a total of 11 performers taking the stage in turn.

About "Summer Pockets": That summer stuffed full in a pocket
"Summer Pockets" is a romance adventure game released on June 29, 2018 by Key, a brand under VISUAL ARTS, with Jun Maeda serving as original concept, and another major work from Key following "CLANNAD," "Little Busters!," and "Angel Beats!" In June 2020, the upgraded version "Summer Pockets REFLECTION BLUE" was released, and in April 2025 the TV anime officially began airing, with 26 episodes in total.
The story revolves around high school student Hairi Takahara. To sort through the belongings of his late grandmother, he spends his summer vacation on an island surrounded by abundant nature—Torishirojima. On the island, he meets a girl gazing blankly at the sea, Shiroha Naruse, who is searching for a mysterious butterfly,Sorakado Ao, Ojima Kamome dragging a suitcase, and the various strange yet warm people of the island.
This is a story about summer, about memories, about what is stuffed inside a "pocket." And AfterParty is precisely the moment after the anime finished airing when all the performers and fans open those "pockets" once again.
Blu-ray Contents: Two Full Days of Emotion
The most exciting part of this Blu-ray is that both performances are fully recorded, plus bonus location footage.
Day Performance ~Welcome to Torishirojima~
The atmosphere of the day performance, in one phrase: laughing until your stomach hurts.
The pre-show audio narration was voiced by Aimi Tanaka, the voice of Kato Umi, and after the opening, Minoru Shiraishi's Naruse Kobato shouted "Shiroha~" on stage looking for his granddaughter, only for Konomi Kohara to appear from the back of the audience, accompanied by two "bodyguards"—original scenario writer Kai and producer Naoto Nakajima—making the scene full of Torishirojima-style absurdity and warmth from the very start.
The day performance's reading drama was written by Kai himself, depicting the friendship (?) among the male cast. The story begins with the shocking opening that "protagonist Hairi Takahara has achieved multiple conquests," only for the targets to turn out to be the island's trio of men—Ryoichi, Tenzen, and Kobato. The hilarious performances by the five voice actors had the venue laughing from beginning to end.
Night Performance ~Make Your Pockets Puff Up~
The evening performance had a different kind of warmth.
The reading drama was split into two parts. The first part was the heroines' "battle royale," and the venue was once again filled with laughter; the second part was the real main event—set one year after the end of Episode 26, the story of Torishirojima, performed together by all 10 voice actors.
That reading drama was later hotly discussed in fan communities, and one viewer posted a translation and impressions on Bahamut, describing it as "the completion of the Pocket route" and reminding everyone to "remember to prepare a pack of tissues."
The evening-only performance by Kana Hanazawa as Nanami also added a unique warmth to this stage show that could only be heard in the anime.
"Let's Go to Torishirojima Quiz" Location Shoot
The third highlight included on the Blu-ray is the location footage of "We Went to Quiz Torishirojima" (クイズ鳥白島に行ってきました).
This segment originated from a quiz project at the event: Shoya Chiba and Yoshimi Obara personally visited the real-life model for Torishirojima—Naoshima (located in the Seto Inland Sea)—and filmed a location VTR, after which the voice actors on site competed to answer questions based on the VTR content, with correct answerers receiving Naoshima travel vouchers.
The setting of Torishirojima actually combines several islands in the Seto Inland Sea: the distant scenery was taken from Megijima, the overall layout references Naoshima, and the development team also went to Ogijima for location shooting. These islands have now become a pilgrimage route for fans.
In other words, this location footage was not just an after-dinner entertainment segment for the event; it brought "Torishirojima" from a fictional anime setting to that very seaside that you and I can also set foot on.
Why This Blu-ray Is Worth Buying
First, this was the largest-scale event in the history of the Summer Pockets anime. Eleven performers gathered in one place, and the day and night performances together totaled more than four hours of content, an unprecedented occasion in the event history of Summer Pockets.
Second, the reading drama was a brand-new script written by Kai. It was not a recap edit of anime content, but an original story written specifically for this event—the absurd comedy of the day performance and the emotional completion of the night performance could only be seen here.
Third, Konomi Suzuki's live performance. She took the stage at the end of the event and sang "Alkatale," the anime's new OP "Finis Terrae," and "Lasting Moment" in succession, bringing the atmosphere of the whole venue to its peak.
Fourth, that summer now has a form that can be opened again and again. The anime finished airing, the event ended, but the Blu-ray means "the summer of Torishirojima" is no longer just a page in memory.
